Merck is urging a Pennsylvania federal judge to advance its trade secret suit against Pfizer and an ex-employee, telling the court its former worker is trying to play the “innocent bystander” card. The case involves claims by Merck & Co. that a former employee, Dr. Wendy Watson, who served as its regulatory liaison, provided Pfizer with thousands of proprietary documents. And that in doing so gave Pfizer an unfair advantage when competing against Merck on a future vaccine.
